i was thinking about you tonite.. not sure how you feel about this but i thought i would share. i took my boys to a herbalist who reads eyes.. and she helped me sooo much. it changed my boys life.. and she was so right on.. i didn't tell her anything and she looked at them and could pinpoint all the things that i felt were wrong.. anyways if you want more info i would be happy to give it to you. just another thought.. you are amazing and those pics of james are adorable.. what a beautiful baby.

Sad times. Apparently I am NOT a seamstress! I rarely sew but I do own a sewing machine and after seeing your t-shirt sling and the comments on Drea's post about a few people doing it and saying it was SO easy I thought, how can I mess this up? Trust me, you can!

Good thing I chopped up a t-shirt that was faded beyond belief and meant nothing to me. Where did I go wrong? I'll never know, but I don't think I'll chance another t-shirt to my scissors, but I'm so glad it worked for you Heather! James looks so cozy bundled up close to you!

LOVE THE SLING! looks so cute.
Have you tried him front facing? I curl up Taites legs and sit him in the sling facing out like a lil' buddah baby. He loves that position!

cute pics!
How is your home-made sling working? I also read Drea's post on that and want to try to make one as soon as my little one gets here. You'll have to let me know how difficult it is, because I don't know how to sew! lol I might just have to get my mom to bail me out and do it! hehe

Hey everyone! The sling works great - but I don't know why you are pulling out your sewing machines?! I never needed to do anything but pull out a pair of scissors, and snip! That's all it takes!

But where did you snip? WHERE? I think I may need a diagram. I'm hitting google to look for one.

(If this makes me dumb, please don't tell me, ignorance is bliss.)

I looked at the diagram on Drea's blog and it said "stitch the curve" but I didn't want to hand stitch so I pulled out my machine. I was confused because it said "no-sew sling." That being said I didn't even make it to the stitching because I got so confused with all the folding that when I cut it, I must have cut wrong because the shirt fell apart into 2 separate pieces. I am hopeless when it comes to instructions! Help, I'd love to try it again! Did you seriously just cut the upper body off and voilĂ  it was done? Cuz that's what it should be if it's not!

Micah's got the same jammies as James in that first picture (but his are obviously quite a bit bigger :)

I didn't get a chance to respond to your last post but I read most of the comments and it looks like you already got lots of advice. So, I just thought I'd let you know that I completely understand how you feel! I hope you get some sleep this week... ((hugs!))

Oh and I agree that your t-shirt sling looks great. I tried it too and after cutting up 3 shirts I couldn't find the perfect one to do the trick. I'm still planning on investing in a REAL baby carrier...

All you gotta do is cut off the top portion of the t-shirt, from arm pit to arm pit. You'll be left with the tubular "body" portion of the t-shirt. You put this over your shoulder like a purse, and fit babes inside it. Make sense?

Oh my word ... could I be more embarrassed? Please forgive me for apparently being the dumbest brunette on the planet. I read the directions for "cutting your own from a shirt" and combined it with the "making your own from a piece of fabric" directions. Duh. This mommy brain thing has not been kind to me :}

Heather, your little man literally could not be cuter...
