Giddy

I am giddy today, because I just got some great news from the Dr. this morning! I had my regular checkup (which will now happen weekly until baby arrives), and she checked my cervix. She told me that the baby's head is down, the cervix is very soft, and I am 1 cm dilated! Yay! She said, "Don't hold it against me if I'm wrong, but..." then she paused, and I said "I have a feeling I might be a little early". She said, "I think you might be right".

You know what lol... I dont want to discourage you but my Dr. told mt the same thing! At aro und 33 weeks they started to tell me this...
Week after week they'd say "Dont be surprised if it happens in less than two weeks."

2 weeks pass... no baby
I would get so frustrated!

I was 3 cm for a good while.
Finally just before my 38th week I had the Ob strip my membranes down there... that day I went into labor.
Went just fine.

But yes.. dont let the Dr's words of "I think your coming early!" cause you to get to anxious ... because then things go slower haha.

It does make you giddy though :-)

Drea - I won't hold my breath on it. But I still thought it was exciting to hear that the baby MIGHT be early!

LOL. I just noticed my link. I love being NEW! It makes me feel like I am some fancy new gadget at Walmart or a really exciting new sitcom on T.V.

I had the same experience, but my water broke the next day and I had my baby a lot faster than my Doctor thought!

(I am a sister of Warren.. and his wife Liane... you've posted comments on their blog before.)

They say it's common to go a little early when it's not your first baby, so I totally got my hopes up that I would be early, (which luckly I was a bit) but I swear, everyday that went by in those last couple of weeks were torture for me, because I was so hoping to go a week or two early. But you seem to be having a heck of a lot more fun being pregnant than I ever did, so I doubt it'll make you go as crazy as I went if your hopes are let down. Keep up the giddyness, nothin wrong with that :)
