I remember those days of getting Madeline's (our first) bedroom and bedding all set up. I love those moments of anticipation and restlessness (as impatient as we are at the time!).
P.S. My trick (actually, I think it was my mom's) to not having to wash the baby's bedding all the time, is to lay a (matching, of course) receiving blanket down on the bed where they lay. This way if they spit up or poop, you only have to change the receiving blanket and not the whole sheet.
Like Dixie, this brings back memories of getting ready for Benjamin... Also my first. Pre-washing all the little clothes, carefully pouring over the carseat manual and installing it, painting his crib (with lead-free paint of course), spending over 2 hours in Walmart and Superstore baby section agonizing over which diapers and bum creams to buy... Good times.
With my second there wasn't so much of that, although I did have this one afternoon when I went through all of Ben's old newborn stuff and cried as hard as a hormonal 9 month pregnant woman can cry. Also good times!
