Empty hands held high
Such small sacrifice
If not joined with my life
I sing in vain tonight
May the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
Let my lifesong sing to You
I want to sign Your name to the end of this day
Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to You
Lord I give my life
A living sacrifice
To reach a world in need
To be Your hands and feet
So may the words I say
And the things I do
Make my lifesong sing
Bring a smile to You
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Let my lifesong sing to You

On of my favourite songs...
beautiful words...
i guess i am a few posts behind, but i just wanted to comment on your 'stairway' post.
i, too, grew up in a community with a very high percentage of believers. my stairway experience wasn't exactly the same, for me it was more that i tried to break out of the 'shell' and didn't know how to it. it was like there was a christian mold (and i really don't blame anyone person or organization or my church) and i wanted more! i too am now realizing many of satan's lies, and what a beautiful thing it is to choose to claim God's truth about who i am and WHOSE i am!!! it is still something i am learning. also, i am trying to remember that faith isn't about a destination (ok, heaven, but i mean here on earth). the plan is not for me to grow and learn until i get 'there', to that place where i am a mature Christian who spends every minute honoring God. the plan is to continuously grow, continuously learn, and continuosuly seek the face of God!
i believe that your post, and your story, is such a powerful message. don't stop talking about it... about HIM!
ps- congrats on baby #2!
